The inspiration for this collection can not fully be expressed in words, but rather is experiential. It’s a déjà vu of sorts, which literally means already seen. It’s a knowing of things that you couldn’t possibly have learned in this lifetime alone. This collection of fashions takes you on a journey through the mind and soul. Think of each fashion as a snapshot … a freeze frame of a simpler but richer moment in time … a glimpse into the past.
This collection was intended to take people’s minds away from the worries of the current day, and transport them to the feeling of a lush, exotic vacation. Experience the Caribbean/Calypso vibes and vintage feel of old Cuba. Go beyond function and flow into the emotion of a lifestyle expressed in mood, class and style.
Some of the highlights of this collection include: Fashions which feature pearl drop earrings similar to what fashion dolls of the 50’s wore. Several of the fashions have real cork wedgie shoes with natural straw straps. Two of these ensembles have straw hats that look quite chic worn right-side-up or Dior style upside-down. The beautiful Calypso colors are balanced by sophisticated neutrals like black, white, and ivory.
