Deep plum taffeta sheath with an overskirt of tulle, velvet bow trim and jet buttons. Includes chic feathered and beaded hat, clutch handbag, rhinestone pins and bracelet, seamed hose and shoes. Circa 1955.
Gene’s “El Morocco” ensemble has so many high-fashion details of the mid 1950’s: rhinestone scatter pins, backless, open-toed pumps, a handbag carefully matched to the dress, and a cocktail hat embellished with feathers, fabric roses, beading and a hint of illusion veiling.
